Our Programs

The Margie Daniels EmpowerHER L.U.N.C.H ( Ladies United Nurturing Change and Hope) primarily serves women and mothers who are justice-impacted, creating a supportive environment focused on empowerment, healing, connection, resource sharing, and family well-being. We host a healing-centered gathering for women who are transitioning, rebuilding, or transforming their lives. Each session includes a shared meal prepared with care, followed by conversation, connection, and access to supportive resources.

The environment is intentionally designed to promote sisterhood, emotional healing, and empowerment. Participants are connected to services that support housing stability, employment readiness, mental health, and family well-being.

The Bill Stephens Pen Pal Program primarily serves incarcerated men, particularly individuals within the Illinois Department of Corrections, by providing meaningful correspondence, encouragement, literacy resources, and positive connections that support personal growth and successful reentry. 

The Summer Owl Future Leaders Book Club primarily serves youth and young people, with an emphasis on children and teens from justice-impacted families, using literacy, mentorship, leadership development, and educational enrichment to help young participants build confidence and envision positive futures. Collectively, the programs address the needs of incarcerated men, justice-impacted women and mothers, and the children and youth within these families, creating a continuum of support that strengthens individuals, families, and communities.
